MioPrep week screen: the days of the week, an estimated grocery cost next to the budget, and today's dinner.

How it works

  1. Answer a short quiz

Eight quick steps, about two minutes. Who you cook for, diets and allergies, your weekly budget, where you shop, your kitchen and the cuisines you like.

  2. Get your week

A plan for the meals you choose: breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Each recipe comes with steps, cooking time and an estimated cost per plate.

  3. Shop from one list

Ingredients are merged across the week and priced by the package, with a cost range for the type of store you picked.

What you get every week

Each screen below is from the app.

MioPrep quiz screen with eating styles and a list of allergies. Shellfish is selected.

Your rules apply every day

Tell MioPrep about diets, allergies and foods you avoid. The planner respects the allergies you tell us about on every meal, every day of the week.

MioPrep filters recipes by their ingredients. It cannot guarantee that a product is free of an allergen, so always check labels and cross-contact warnings.

MioPrep screen titled Here is your week, with an estimated cost range, the budget, one day of meals and the dishes for the other days.

The whole week in one place

See one day in full and the rest of the week by title, with the estimated grocery cost next to your budget. You choose which meals get planned, and leftovers are planned too, so you cook less often.

MioPrep recipe screen with a servings control, a metric and US units switch, and estimated nutrition per serving.

Servings and units that fit your kitchen

Change the servings and your list follows. Switch between metric and US units on any recipe. Every recipe has step by step instructions, and nutrition per serving is shown as an estimate.

MioPrep swap screen with three dinner options, each with cooking time and cost per plate.

Swap a meal, pick from three

Any meal can be swapped. MioPrep offers three dishes that fit your allergies, kitchen and budget, and your list updates after you pick. You can also hide a dish so it stays out of future plans.

MioPrep change screen showing that Friday dinner was replaced with a vegetarian dish, with Undo and Keep it buttons.

Ask for a change in one sentence

Type a request like “make Friday vegetarian”. MioPrep shows what changed and why, and you keep it or undo it. Quick change buttons cover the common requests without typing.

MioPrep grocery list with an estimated total range, the budget, and produce items priced by the package.

A grocery list with an honest cost range

One list for the week, grouped by aisle and priced by the package you buy. The total is a range, labeled as an estimate, and it changes with the type of store you chose. Fix any price and MioPrep remembers it for next time.

MioPrep prep day screen with the dishes to cook, what to chop once and how to store the food.

Prep day, one step at a time

If you like to cook once and eat twice, MioPrep groups the chopping and cooking into a prep day and walks you through it step by step.

Questions

When am I charged?

The annual plan starts with 7 free days and charges $34.99 when they end, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. The app reminds you 2 days before. The weekly plan has no free trial and charges $4.99 the day you subscribe, then every week.

How do I cancel?

In the store you subscribed with. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, MioPrep. On Android: Google Play, your profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions. The app also has a Manage subscription button in the You tab. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are decided by the App Store or Google Play, because they process the payment. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play: your order history, then report a problem. If something in the app went wrong, write to us and we will help with the request.

How does MioPrep handle allergies?

You tell the app which allergens and foods to leave out, and the planner checks every recipe against that list, every day. It works from recipe ingredients, so it cannot know how a specific product was made. MioPrep cannot guarantee an allergen-free result. Always read product labels and cross-contact warnings.

Are the cost and nutrition numbers exact?

No. Grocery costs are shown as a range and nutrition is shown per serving, both labeled as estimates. Real prices vary by store and week. MioPrep is a planning tool and does not give medical or nutrition advice.

Can I use metric or US units?

Yes. The app starts with the usual units for your country and you can switch between metric and US units on any recipe or in the settings.

Does my household need to pay too?

No. One subscription covers up to 5 people. Invite them from the Household screen and they see the same plan and the same list, on iPhone or Android.

Which countries and languages are supported?

At launch MioPrep is made for the United States, Canada and Brazil, in English and Brazilian Portuguese, with local package sizes, currencies and units.

What data do you keep, and how do I delete it?

Your quiz answers, plans and list stay on your phone until you save an account. Diet and allergy details are stored only after you agree in the app. A typed change request is read with the help of an AI service. You can switch typed requests off in the app. You can delete your account and data in the app at any time. The privacy policy has the details.
